Self-taught web developer, and indie hacker.
š Iām Khalid. Founder and CEO of WEBNET Solutions, a 100% remote agency where we craft beautiful web stuff using different technologies. For the most part, I'm a Laravel artisan, but I also enjoy dabbling in other frameworks and technologies. So, how did I get here?
Well, it's a long story that I'll tell you in a dedicated post or a podcast some day. But in short, I started my career as a web developer by pure chance. Of course, I had been learning how to code since I was 11 years old, but I turned into a software professional in 2007, when I moved out from Morocco. I was lucky enough to be offered to make a website for somebody who was interviewing me for a salesman position. I accepted the offer, and that's how it all started.
I figured that I could actually make a living as a programmer, so I applied for a job as a web developer with experience in Joomla, and I got it. I worked there for about 6 months before I decided to go solo. I took my first freelance job, then another one, and another one, and so on. I was learning on the go about how to build a business until I decided to start my own agency.
I'm a self-taught web developer, and I'm still learning new things every day. So, through this platform, I'll be sharing with you my thoughts and experience hoping to help you in your own journey.
